

Rhonda Stephens is a cum laude graduate of Loyola New Orleans with a Bachelor’s in Fine Arts & minor in Pre-Med. She founded her art studio in 1997 on Magazine St. while attending college and has since moved to Carrollton Ave. in 2005. Stephens has been successfully teaching art to children for over 27 years with hundreds of students achieving their short and long term artistic goals with many young students continuing on achieving various successful art careers.
It is the Southern Art Society’s goal to immerse the students in the richness of the visual arts. Students will gain knowledge of the various mediums of graphite, color pencil, pastel, ink, watercolor, acrylic, water soluble oil and the new addition of digital media.
Students will learn about the various media, their peripheral tools & materials. SAS seeks to stimulate the individual creativity of each student by exploring fun, traditional and innovative art forms. Students will gain a higher level skilled creative foundation that will successfully build their creative base as well as further develop a ‘think around’ mindset.
